Soil Specs. With the Human Impact Institute. 2021. Nontoxic ink, paper, wheatpaste, photography, soil, food waste.

As part of the Human Impact Institute's 2021 Creative Climate Awards, artists from NYC were selected to participate in the Impact Artist Fellowship. Tasked with creating public art projects that connect local neighborhoods with urban environmental health resources - exhibitions, performances, and interventions were staged across the boroughs. Soil Specs is a series of stickers and QR codes pasted around various neighborhoods in Queens and Brooklyn. Designed in collaboration with Vanessa DeFerrari, these tiny, bold images are a simple means to disperse information regarding food waste collection and urban composting. The stickers are focused in areas that currently have diminished access to convenient compost resources.
